1. Eligibility

1. You must be 18 years or older to use Petty.
2. Accounts belonging to underage users will be removed immediately.

2. Information We Collect

• Profile Information: name, username, email, age, gender, interests, pet peeves, photos, bio.
• Account Data: login credentials, account preferences, subscription purchases.
• Usage Data: likes, matches, messages, filters, and in-app activity.
• Location Data: approximate location, if enabled, to suggest nearby matches.
• Payment Information: processed by Apple/Google; Petty does not store full card details.
• Reports & Safety Data: reports of violations, moderation notes, and safety actions.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create and maintain your account.
• Match you with other users and personalize your experience.
• Improve features, performance, and safety of the app.
• Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and illegal activity (including trafficking or exploitation).
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing of Information

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We share information only with service providers (hosting, analytics, payments) and with legal authorities when required.
• Your profile, photos, and content are visible to other users inside Petty.

5. Your Rights & Choices

• Edit your profile and account settings at any time.
• Delete Account in-app: You can permanently delete your account and data from Profile > Settings > Delete Account. Once confirmed, data is removed (except where limited retention is required for legal/safety reasons).
• Manage notification and marketing preferences in settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only while your account is active or as needed for safety, compliance, or legal purposes. Once you delete your account using the in-app feature, your data is permanently removed, though limited records may remain in backups for a short period.

7. Safety & Security

• We use industry-standard encryption and secure servers.
• Use the in-app Report feature to flag suspicious or unsafe behavior.
• No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

8. International Users

If you access Petty from outside the United States, you agree that your information will be processed and stored in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
